YK TECH INC

Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

1. Scope and controller

YK TECH INC is the controller of personal information covered by this Policy. YK TECH INC is based in Denver, Colorado, United States. Contact support@readvideo.ai. This Policy covers ReadVideo, its APIs, websites, and account and billing features.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data, such as name, email, login identifiers, and profile details.
  • Media, URLs, transcripts, subtitles, edits, exports, and associated metadata you submit.
  • When you pay through our online checkout, our payment provider, acting as merchant of record, collects and processes your payment details, billing address, and email as an independent controller, for payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and receipt purposes. We receive the order outcome — paid or refunded, amounts, and country — but never full card numbers.
  • Usage, device, browser, IP address, security, diagnostic, and support information.
  • Visit measurement from our own analytics service: pages viewed, time on page, product actions such as starting an upload or a checkout, approximate location derived from your IP address (the address itself is not stored, only a keyed one-way hash of it), browser and device type, and technical signals that tell people from automated traffic. The Cookie Policy lists the identifiers it uses.

You are responsible for having the rights to submit any media, URL, or other content — see Terms of Service § "User content and copyright" for details.

3. How and why we use information

We use information to perform our contract by authenticating users, processing media, delivering output, metering credits, managing plan periods, and providing support. We use it for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service reliability, aggregate product improvement, and enforcing policies; to comply with law, tax, and accounting duties; and, where required, with consent. We do not use customer media, transcripts, or subtitle projects to train general-purpose models unless the customer makes a separate, affirmative choice for that purpose. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information only as needed to providers that support hosting, content delivery, object storage, authentication, speech recognition, AI processing, payment processing, observability, security, and customer support; to professional advisers; during a corporate transaction; or when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law. Providers process data under contractual restrictions.

5. Who can see the content you upload

You. Your media, links, transcripts, subtitles, and exports are private to your account by default. If you create a share link for a result, anyone who has that link can view it until you turn sharing off or delete the item.

Service providers that process it on our behalf: the speech-recognition model provider (receives the audio you submit); the text-processing model provider (segmentation, chapters, titles and summaries — receives the recognised text only, never the audio); cloud storage providers (store your files and transcripts); sign-in and email-notification providers. Each processes data solely to deliver its step and is bound by its own privacy policy; we disclose no more than that step requires.

Providers may change; a change does not alter the commitments in this section.

Our staff see content only when you ask us to troubleshoot a problem, or where the law requires it. Day-to-day operations rely only on aggregated, content-free metrics such as duration, processing time, and error rates.

We do not use your content to train any model, sell it or give it to advertisers, or publish it without your consent.

This section is a plain-language summary. If it differs from the full Policy, the latest version published on this page governs; we will give reasonable advance notice of material changes.

6. Retention

Retention follows your plan. Signed-out trial uploads are deleted 3 hours after upload. Signed-in free accounts: media is deleted 3 hours after upload, but the transcript is kept. Paid plans keep media and transcripts within your plan's storage allowance — Starter 2 GB, Creator 10 GB, Pro 50 GB; once the allowance is full, we automatically delete the oldest media to make room. If a plan expires, the free-account rules apply again 30 days later. You can delete items yourself at any time from your library page; deletion is irreversible. Billing and tax records may be kept for up to seven years or longer when law requires. We keep operational logs only as long as reasonably needed for security, debugging, and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.

When you delete a library item or your account, the media file and every transcript, summary, highlight and translation derived from it are removed from our live storage and database immediately. We do not keep separate backups of your content; any infrastructure-level snapshot is overwritten on its regular cycle and is never used to restore deleted content. Purchase records (orders and receipts) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires; they contain your email and the plan you bought, not your content.

7. Staying signed in

After you sign in with Google, we store an access token (valid 1 hour) and a refresh token (valid 7 days, renewed automatically each time you use the Services) in your browser's local storage, so you are not asked to sign in on every visit. Signing out, or deleting your account, clears both tokens from your browser. This storage is strictly necessary to keep you signed in — it is not used for tracking or advertising.

8. International transfers and security

We are based in the United States and providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we use contractual or other lawful transfer safeguards. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, or withdraw consent. You may also appeal a denied privacy request and complain to your local regulator. Email support@readvideo.ai. We may verify your identity and may retain information where an exception applies. Authorized agents must provide proof of authority. Where supported, you can manage billing data and payment methods through the provider portal linked from Account.

10. Children and changes

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information. We will post Policy updates with a new effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes.
